$25,000 Surpasses Goal for Film: "Occasioned By BAsics: A Celebration of Revolution and The Vision of a New World

We surpassed our goal to raise $23,000 by $2,000 (Total $25,002) to fund the film Occasioned by BAsics: A Celebration of Revolution andThe Vision of a New World.

And A BIG THANKS! to everyone who contributed baked goods, your time, your efforts, called people, emailed people, contributed $ online, and all else you did to spread the word. This was a national effort and everyone's help small and large mattered. And now we can make the film! A great step in the overall campaign BA Everywhere...Imagine the Difference It Could Make!

In Atlanta, several people donated homemade baked goods, brownies, spice cake, butter cake, carrot cake, and rice krispie treats, then three teams of people with the baked goods, flyers for the film, the book BAsics by Bob Avakian (the inspiration for the event and film), and Revolution newspaper went to different neighborhoods throughout the city. In all we raised $270 and sold several copies of the book BAsics and Revolution paper, plus an additional $15 contribution at the bookstore. We met some very interested and interesting people along the way who said they would go online to check out the trailer and donate. We all had a lot of fun too!
